Recognising Unsung Heroes

Jimmy Greer Awards. A black and white image of Jimmy Greer inside a white star.

These awards are in honour of the late Jimmy Greer, the father of our Founder, Jodie Greer. Jimmy was always a big supporter of our work and a keen ally for inclusion and accessibility.

Recognising those who take action to improve disability inclusion and accessibility in their community.

This could be someone who runs voluntary events, who has voluntarily helped local businesses to be more accessible, who has run local campaigns to raise awareness, or someone who has achieved local inclusion and access improvements through their efforts and tenacity.

Where possible, a community leader may also present a certificate.

  • The inclusion or accessibility actions taken must be unpaid.
  • There must be a tangible impact – what changed, who benefited?
  • Nominees must not already have received an award for these efforts.
  • Feature on the Winners webpage.
  • Notification to a workplace or community contact.
  • A full year of access to the PaSHN community space.

Nominate Someone (or Yourself)

Do actions need to be big?

No. We’re looking for real, tangible steps intended to make life more equitable for everyone.

Nominations are welcome from anywhere in the world.

We only use your information provided to run the awards. If your nominee is a winner, we’ll notify the workplace or community contact you provide. You get to choose whether we inform them if was you that recognised their efforts.
